Take a culinary trip around the world this Monday as prominent local and national chefs alike engage in a fight to reverse childhood obesity at Common Threads’ 6th annual World Festival. With proceeds going to support the organization, which aims to enlighten the children of low-income families with their after-school, nutrition-based cooking courses, the event will give your taste buds a chance to explore global flavors from countries such as East Asia, Europe and the Americas. A bevy of chefs including Stephanie Izard, Bill Kim, Giuseppe Tentori, Chris Pandel, Jason McLeod, Domenica Catelli, Anita Lo and more will show you how things are done behind the closed doors of their renowned kitchens; you can also peruse a silent auction including tickets to sporting games, culinary activities and various weekend getaways.
